MEET STEPHEN

NEW LEADERSHIP DELIVERING RESULTS FOR PENNSYLVANIA

Stephen was born on Long Island, NY on December 20, 1980 to the  late John and Barbara Stone.  He lived there most of his childhood with his parents and his older sister, Stacy and their late younger brother, Shawn.  In 1989, Stephen and his family moved from New York to Lancaster County, residing in Lititz.  Stephen's family later moved to Ephrata, where Stephen Graduated High School in 1999.  After High School, Stephen joined the US Navy and served a total of 4 years before being medically honorably discharged after a devastating car crash.

Stephen married his beautiful wife Jennifer Lyn Stone in 2007 and they have two children, Chloe (7) and Clark (23 months).  They moved to Lampeter-Strasburg in 2012 and currently reside on Book Rd.

Stephen is a US Navy veteran with a background in business and education. As part of a young middle class family, he understands the economic struggles that people are facing today.  Stephen will work to eliminate corporate tax breaks and lower the corporate net income tax.

Working in post-secondary education for the last five years, Stephen has seen first-hand the challenges faced by the local school districts and the students due to billion dollar cuts in education  made my the Corbett administration.  Stephen is dedicated to getting public education back on the right track, restoring funding, and making sure that every student is afforded a quality education and the ability to afford higher education that will greatly impact their future and the future of Pennsylvania.

Stephen will help to bring better services and better medical and mental healthcare to our veterans returning home.  Stephen’s cousin shot and killed himself on Father’s Day in 2008 after serving two GWOT tours. Honoring our veterans with resources to mental healthcare to help reduce veteran suicides in Pennsylvania is always at the forefront in his mind at all times.  Stephen wants to help fund CareerLink to help veterans find gainful employment and quality training when they come home.  We owe it to our veterans and we are going to give it to them.
